Process
Four weeks, start to live, and you know what happens in each one.
Week 01
Scope and content
We go through what you sell, who buys it and what the site has to do. I map the pages and tell you exactly what copy and images I need from you.
Week 02
Design and build
Layouts built as reusable blocks in a staging environment you can look at any time. One round of changes is part of the price, not an extra.
Week 03
Search and speed
Titles, schema, sitemaps, image compression and caching. I test on a real mobile connection, not just a desktop score, and fix what fails.
Week 04
Launch and handover
DNS cutover, analytics and Search Console connected, then a recorded walkthrough of how to edit your own pages. Admin access is yours.
Questions
About the build.
What counts as a page?
A page is one address on your site: Home, About, Services, Contact and one of your choosing. A blog, an online shop or a separate landing page each sit outside the five, and I would quote those as a custom setup.
What if I need more than five pages?
Then we quote it. Extra pages can go into the original build or be added later once the site is earning its keep. The foundation is the same either way, so adding later costs you nothing extra in rework.
Who writes the copy?
You know your business better than I do, so the specifics come from you. I give you a short brief for each page so you are not staring at a blank document, and I draft the structure and headings. If you would rather hand the writing over entirely, say so and we will work it out.
Do I own it when it is finished?
Yes. It is standard WordPress with every login in your name and no licence tied to my account. If you decide to move it elsewhere, you get an export, the credentials and a handover call.
What happens after launch?
You get admin access and a recorded walkthrough of your own site, so changing text or swapping an image is something you can do on a Sunday evening without calling me. Hosting with me is a recommendation, not a condition.
After launch
Then someone has to keep it running.
The build is half the job. Updates, backups, security and uptime are the other half, and they do not stop.
