About selling online.
Why WooCommerce?
Because it is open source and it is yours. There is no monthly platform fee taking a percentage of every sale, and it lives inside the same WordPress you already edit, so there is one place to log in rather than two. Hosted platforms are decent products, and if you would rather rent the simplicity, I will say so honestly.
Can you add it to my existing site?
Usually yes. If your site is already WordPress, e-commerce can be retrofitted rather than rebuilt. If it is on something else, that is a conversation about migrating first.
What does it cost to run?
WooCommerce itself is free. Hosting starts at $39 a month. Some extensions carry their own licence fees, and I will flag any of those before building them in rather than surprising you with a renewal.
Who holds the payment account?
You do. It is set up in your name, so the money reaches you directly and you are never dependent on me to get paid.
