Plugins / Siteward

One dashboard for every WordPress site you look after.

I built Siteward because the tools meant to manage a fleet of client sites kept charging per site, slowing down as the list grew, and going quiet exactly when something broke. It is self-hosted, free for unlimited sites, and on WordPress.org for any agency or freelancer to use.

01 Unlimited sites

Monitor and update as many sites as you look after, free. No per-site fees, ever.

02 Self-hosted

Runs on your own WordPress install. Client data never routes through someone else's cloud.

03 Names the culprit

Critical errors caught within minutes, with the plugin that broke the site named.

04 Fast at scale

A parallel engine checks a fleet of 200+ sites in around ten seconds.

Why I built it

The parts of managing WordPress at scale that actually hurt.

01

Per-site fees

Cloud tools charge around $1 to $2 per site, per month, for each add-on. At 200 sites that is thousands a year. Siteward monitors unlimited sites free, and Pro is one flat price.

02

Dashboards that crawl

Other managers bog down past about a hundred sites, with manual sync buttons and tuning just to stay usable. Siteward checks the whole fleet in parallel, in seconds.

03

Backups that fail quietly

You usually find out a backup stopped working when a restore fails. Siteward flags missing, stale and failing backups before you need them.

04

Updates that break sites

A routine plugin update causes a white screen and nobody notices until the client calls. Siteward spots it within minutes and tells you which plugin did it.

What it does

The essentials, done properly.

Every feature earns its place. No dashboard full of things you will never use.

Free

Uptime monitoring

Parallel checks across the whole fleet, retry before alerting so false alarms do not wake you, and notifications by email or Zapier.

Free

Fleet-wide updates

Every pending core, plugin and theme update in one place. Select sites and bulk update by plugin or by site, with live progress.

Free

Vulnerability monitoring

Every plugin, theme and core version with a known vulnerability, and the version that fixes it. No API key, and nothing about your sites leaves your server.

Free

Critical-error detection

Fatal errors, white screens, recovery mode and auto-paused plugins, caught within minutes with the plugin or theme responsible named.

Free

Backup visibility

UpdraftPlus status at a glance, with flags for missing, stale or failing backups. Sites with server-level backups can be marked as covered.

Free

Tags and segmentation

Label sites by client or server, filter the fleet and scope bulk actions, so you can update everything except the sites tagged do not touch.

Pro

SSL and domain expiry

Watches every certificate and domain registration and warns you days before either one lapses.

Pro

White-label client reports

Branded monthly reports that make your maintenance work visible, so care plans stick. No per-site fee.

Pricing

Unlimited sites free. One flat price for Pro.

Covering 200 sites with per-site cloud tools runs somewhere between US$5,000 and US$21,000 a year. Siteward Agency covers the same 200 for US$129.

Getting started

Three steps to a managed fleet.

01

Install the dashboard

Install the free Siteward plugin from WordPress.org on one WordPress site. That site becomes your control panel.

02

Connect your sites

Install the lightweight Siteward Child plugin on each site you manage and paste in its secure connection key.

03

Monitor and update

Watch uptime, run bulk updates and get an alert the moment something needs you. The first site takes about two minutes.

Questions

About Siteward.

Why did you build it?

Because looking after a fleet of WordPress sites should not get more expensive with every client you win. The tools meant to help kept charging per site, slowing down at scale and going quiet when an update broke something, so I built the lean version. OmnisWP is the name I publish my plugins under.

Is it a good MainWP alternative?

Yes. It is the same core idea, many WordPress sites managed from one self-hosted dashboard, deliberately stripped of bloat, with a parallel engine that stays fast at scale and no paid-extension sprawl.

Does it charge per site?

Never. Unlimited sites are free, and Pro is one flat price, unlike per-site cloud tools that bill around $1 to $2 per site per month for each feature.

Where is my data stored?

Entirely on your own dashboard site. There is no third-party cloud in the middle. Each site is linked with an OpenSSL keypair and every request between them is signed.

Will it tell me when an update breaks a site?

Yes. It detects server errors, the WordPress critical error screen, recovery mode and auto-paused plugins, and alerts you by email or Zapier with the culprit named.

Do I need it if you host my site?

No. Siteward is for people who look after a fleet of sites themselves, mostly agencies and freelancers. If your site is on my managed hosting, keeping it patched and watched is my job, not yours.
